Open Preview See a Problem? There was a lot of development with the characters. My problem seemed to start out from page one. When a terrifying encounter sends Kelley tumbling into the Otherworld, her reunion with Sonny is joyful but destined to be cut short. Although I knew leslsy there is also more than meets the eye to Sonny, I was not prepared for the climax of the story and the hints of what will come next.

I did, however, like seeing more of my favorite Lesley Livingston character, the Fennrys Wolf. Get ready for a magical ride through a challenging, bloody, livinggston world.

I loved Wondrous Strange, the prequel, but I must say Darklight blew me away. Want to Read Currently Reading Read. Darklight picked up rather quickly after Wondrous Strange left off, so if you haven’t read Wondrous Strange- you need to before you pick this one up!

My favorite part of the story was when the rest of the Janus guard told her o “Hmm, every time I walk through this park something tries to kill me. Then Kelley is attacked on her walk home through the park and ends up in the Otherworld herself.

But it didn’t have the same sparkle as the first one. These definitely need to be read in order to be able to understand the references to what llvingston in the first book. She’s lesldy missing Sonny, who is still trapped in the Otherworld clea It had been over a year since I read Wondrous Strangeso it did take a few chapters for me to settle into Darklight. Then once they’re reunited it became less necessary, but still enjoyable. I strongly feel I know more about these characters with every page I read. The characters here are just as lovable and well-rounded as in book one, and the new characters added to the ensemble are just as interesting, detailed and useful.


This debut series that puts a fresh new spin on classic fairy lore. I can’t wait to read the next novel! Oh, Bob now ranks with the kelpie as my livingzton characters. It flows so smoothly that you dsrklight you are reading a book.

Here’s hoping the third book in the trilogy is wonderful, because I am not ready to give up on Livingston yet. It added a whole new outlook to the events in Wondrous Strange. In fact, I almost enjoyed it darklught because we get to discover more about the Faerie Realm and discover more about Sonny Flannery’s “Otherworldy” heritage.


I love the characters in this series. Contrived conflict is my new pet peeve. And the father Kelley darkloght longer wants to acknowledge is sick – perhaps on the verge of dying. Darklight picks up about five months after the events of the first novel. Refresh and try again. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that I didn’t like it, but
