I didnt learn many things from this book, because it was exaggerated too much, so it was just for entertainment. The more popular tales Paul Bunyan, Johnny Appleseed, etc were okay, but the rest ranged from mediocre to awful. Preread for 3rd grade. The story of Johnny Appleseed I think was my favorite story in the book. The boys loved this book. There were some stories in it that I really liked and then others that I didn’t like at all. The last story, about Joe Magarac, was the least interesting, in my o My new student and I listened to this book on audio.
