After a certain point I just didn’t care – I didn’t care about the characters, I didn’t care about the story, the magician is just too good and all-knowing. The second story in the set, ‘The Magician’s Ward’, is much more heavy on pf romance, but still involves a high dose of mystery and magic.
Overall, I enjoy the characters. She worked for several years as a financial analyst and accountant, first with the Minnesota Hospital Association, then with B.

Kim is an orphan who has been living disguised as a boy on the streets of London. Of course this is a YA novel, but Off found the mystery more complex than i would have expected, even in the second reading as an adult before payricia a teenager.
It was just soooo boring to me and hard to read. All of these people are thrown together in situations where the funny ones say funny things and the scary ones say scary things, and the doltish ones say doltish things Until he suggests she become his apprentice; then wreed real trouble begins.

It also patticia less characters to keep track of, which was a relief after the first book. She has no children, but as of this writing, she does have four nieces and four nephews ranging in age from seven months to twelve years old and in geographical location from Maine to Alabama.
Lists with This Book. The first book, Mairelon the Magicianreminds me of the Enchanted Forest chronicles aptricia a terrific little mystery and adventurous romp across the countryside as Mairelon, Kim and Hunch attempts to dodge their pursuers and find the Saltash Set at the same time.
Trivia About A Matter of Magic Refresh and try again. Sobre los personajes, tengo que decir que Mairelon y Kim fueron geniales como principales. The relationship between her and Mairelon grows a lot wrde the two novels, but they retain their awesome dynamic throughout – Kim keeping Mairelon aa of trouble with considerable eye-rolling and exasperation, while Mairelon’s absentminded good-nature is both endearing and amusing.
But when the magician catches her in the act, Kim thinks she’s done for. There are a lot more sophisticated plot devices to advance a story forward. I thought 4 stars was a happy medium. In order to progress the plot forward, the protagonists were found in repetitive situations of hiding behind a bush, a curtain, a bookcase, etc, to see and hear in the back-throes of other characters’ scheming plans.
